Embriser Group is divided into three independent companies

Embriser Group has decided to continue its activities in the form of three independent companies.

In the past year, Embracer Group has launched a wave of layoffs and sold various studios, including Saber Interactive and Gearbox Entertainment, to buyers. Now, in the latest step for the new organization, this company announced that it will be divided into three public companies named Asmodee Group, Coffee Stain and Friends, and Middle-earth Enterprises and Friends, each of which will act as an independent group.

This new organization allows each portfolio to better focus on its core strategies and offer more distinct and specific trends for existing and new stakeholders. Also, Embriser Group hopes that after completing this restructuring, the value of its assets will improve more than before.

Among the three independent companies, the Asmodee Group begins its work with the motto of "the leading global publisher and distributor of board games using an extensive studio network and catalog of intellectual assets." The second company, Coffee Stain and Friends, is described as a "diversified game developer" that will work on A and AA games, along with free-to-play games for consoles, mobile and PC, with a strong focus on cyclical revenues.

Finally, Middle-earth Enterprises and Friends, as a powerful and creative developer, develops and publishes AAA games for computers and consoles and will work and cooperate in the development of two IPs, Lord of the Rings and Tomb Raider. In the meantime, Embriser Group in Stockholm will change its name to Middle-earth Enterprises and Friends, and the dividends of the other two companies will be distributed to the shareholders. The registration and independence of Asmodee is planned within the next 12 months and for Coffee Stain in 2025.

Following this reorganization, Lars Wingfors, co-founder and CEO of Embrisor Group, will form a new long-term ownership structure including all current Embrisor assets. The CEO said in his press release: "The board of directors, together with the executive management, proposed to transform the Embracer group into three separate and registered companies. This evolution is an important step in unlocking the value of shares.

With this new organization, the three independent groups will be able to focus on the implementation of their main strategies and use their power levers, and create more distinctive events for current and future shareholders. After carefully evaluating various strategic options, we strongly believe this decision will benefit everyone and set us on a path to continued future success. This action has been taken to release the full potential of each team and the possibility of managing and moving forward in their own strategic direction.

This will be the beginning of a new chapter that I intend to remain a part of as an active, committed and supportive shareholder of all three new companies with a green vision. "The move to become three independent companies furthers Embracer's vision to support entrepreneurs and developers with long-term plans, allowing them to continue to deliver unforgettable experiences to gamers and entertainment fans around the world."
