Konami is looking to attract new audiences with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Konami plans to introduce its stealth series to today's audience with the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3.
In the latest Insider-Gaming news , we read that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is an ambitious and faithful remake of the legendary action and stealth game Metal Gear Solid 3, which was released in 2004 for PlayStation 2. Konami has been developing this remake for years and finally unveiled it after revealing various information and rumors. Now we have various images and trailers of this game and fans are waiting to experience it in 2025.
Noriaki Okamura , the producer of the Metal Gear Solid series, has mentioned in his recent interview one of Konami's main motivations for remaking one of the most iconic and popular versions of the series. This producer explained one of the main reasons behind Konami's decision to remake Metal Gear Solid 3, which has been released for more than 20 years:
“One of the reasons that really motivated us to develop this remake was that we realized that a lot of new generation gamers and younger people are not familiar with the Metal Gear series. Basically, this motivation became our main mission and task to somehow make sure that this series continues for generations to come. As quoted by Solid Snake, we left more than a DNA for the future; But still, many players of the younger generation don't know who Solid Snake is?"
Metal Gear Solid 3 was one of the most popular games of the 2000s, years ahead of other games of its time with its immersive and lengthy story, extensive freedom of action, unique stealth system, health regeneration mechanisms, and survival. Konami has promised fans that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will stay as true to the original game experience as possible, while making significant improvements to attract new audiences and provide a modern experience.
The last version of Konami's stealth series was Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which was released in 2015. After the release of this game and the departure of Hideo Kojima from Konami, the Japanese publisher tried to expand the series again with the release of the multiplayer horror game Metal Gear Survive in 2018, but failed. Now that it has been almost 10 years since the release of the last main game in the series, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater could gain new fans for the series.
